Children's Christmas Pageant
Holy Cross is very excited to announce our 2018 Children’s Christmas Pageant! This very special celebration of the birth of Jesus has become one of the most anticipated Christmas traditions at Holy Cross. Due to increased participation by our children and the many requests to make your Christmas Eve more relaxed and enjoyable for parents and relatives, Holy Cross is making changes to the format and scheduling of the pageant. Our hope is that these changes will expand the pageant and make it easier for our families to participate and truly enjoy the spirit of the season.
An Exciting New Format
Our Children’s Christmas Pageant will now be held on Saturday, December 15th, following the 4:00 pm Mass. The pageant will begin promptly at 5:15 pm. Between the end of Mass and the beginning of the pageant, carols will be sung in the church. Participants need to be downstairs, in costume, by 4:30 pm. (If you attend 4:00 pm Mass, please come down immediately following.) We understand this a big change in format to years past. The Christmas Eve Mass at 4 pm will continue to be a special liturgy oriented towards our families with ample opportunities for participation, singing, and memorable moments for our children.
Holy Cross will be holding a festive and fun Family Reception directly after the pageant. Pizza, refreshments, and holiday cheer will be served to all downstairs in Yeazel Hall.
There are three practices this year.
Wednesday, December 5th • 5:00 – 6:30 pm
Sunday, December 9th • 10:00 – 11:30 am
Wednesday, December 12th • 5:00 - 6:30 pm*
*Full dress rehearsal - Costumes go home with family.
