Preparation for the sacraments is a special time in your child’s life, as well as the life of your family and our faith community. This time offers many opportunities for all to grow in faith. It’s a new beginning. As with the beginning of a new year, it is a time for prayerful reflection and gratitude. We are especially grateful for you. We are grateful for your choosing to keep the Catholic faith alive through the teachings of Jesus and participation in the Sacraments—celebration of Eucharist. Your presence at Holy Cross is a gift to our faith community. We recognize you are the primary educator in the faith of your child and consider it a privilege to work with you and your child as we grow together in our Catholic faith.
Registration for Sacramental Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist are combined as it is a complementary, year long process. If you have already registered your child for First Reconciliation, it is not necessary to re-register for First Eucharist. If you have a unique situation where you only need to register for one of these Sacraments, please contact us at the parish office.
Your child’s baptismal certificate must be on file at Holy Cross prior to receiving the Sacrament. If your child was baptized at a church other than Holy Cross and you have not previously provided it to Holy Cross, please submit it as soon as possible.
