Charles A. “Chip” Stepneski, Jr., 78, of West Monroe, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023.
Born May 4, 1945, in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late Charles and Katherine Franczek Stepneski. Chip was a Vietnam combat veteran and Seargeant with the US Marine Corps. For 20 years he served as a New York State Trooper in Troop D and was a member of the DeWitt Fire Department. Chip was a devout Catholic, parishioner and usher at Holy Cross Church in DeWitt and was a member of several veteran, police and fire organizations.
He is survived by two daughters; and several close friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 2 at 10 AM at Holy Cross Church, DeWitt followed by interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt. There are no calling hours.
