Obituary
Lorraine Lillian Healy (Heyler), a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on Monday, July 29, 2024 at the age of 93.
Born in Jersey City, New Jersey on October 4,1930 to Charles and Anna Heyler, Lorraine will be remembered as an exemplary mother and human being. She embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity that could be seen in her care for her family and friends. She was a talented artist with a focus on Chinese brush painting. She also enjoyed authentic Chinese cooking, gardening, a good book and the many activities she took part in at the Nottingham, where she lived until recently.
Lorraine leaves to honor her memory 5 daughters, Susan Healy-Kribs (William N. Kribs), Deborah Schillaci (Michael C.), Patricia J. Adler (Andrew S.), Aimèe Healy-Reeves (Richard Scott Reeves), and Mary Ellen Long (Gregory J); 3 sons, William Healy, Matthew Healy (Eileen Spillane-Healy) and Daniel Healy (partner Michelle Smith); 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, William J. Healy and a son, Timothy P. Healy.
Visitation is Sunday, August 4, 2024 from 2pm until 6pm at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Monday, August 5, 2024 at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 4112 E. Genesee St, DeWitt, NY. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Foundation of Central New York are encouraged.
