In this lesson, we look at the liturgical season of Lent! Just like we did with Advent, we take some time to explain the Church calendar and what the season of Lent really means. We travel with Jesus into the desert for forty days. We discuss the significance of the number forty (Hint: it has to do with purification. and learned how we are tempted as human beings and how our Lenten sacrifices of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving combat these temptations allowing us to grow closer to our loving Father in Heaven.
