How to Listen to God

How does God talk to Us

1. Make a list with class of how they see God speaks to people

Bible’s dual authorship

1. Bible isn’t dictated but human has total freedom to write as he wants.

2. Holy Spirit inspires the author and writes exactly what he wants him to say.

3. Human Author is dead and audience is dead - we can study this piece of literature in bible studies

4. Divine Author (the Holy Spirit) is still living and can continue to speak to those that read the Bible.

This will most commonly be experienced as reading something that is exactly what you needed to hear at that moment.
