The Sacraments and Grace
We know that we can have a relationship with God by reading the Bible or by speaking with him in prayer. So why do we need Sacraments? Why does God give these to us? First, sacraments give us Grace, or the Holy Spirit within us, so that we are bonded to him. Second, our relationships are through sacraments because it's the best way for us to experience our relationship with him. A sacrament is an outward sign, instituted by Christ, to give Grace.
