A Man of Many Talents

Congratulations J. Claude Pilon, our 2018 Immaculata Award recipient! A man of many talents, Claude has been involved in many aspects of our church community. His volunteer services include Sacristan, Pastoral Care, Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Financial Advisor, Funeral Luncheon member and Parish Council. He was invaluable for his accounting work when we were building our current church building. Claude is currently a Trustee for Holy Cross, and he regularly meets with the Men’s Reading Group. Thank you for all that you do for our community! May God continue to bless you as you have blessed Holy Cross with your generous, compassionate volunteer service.

Immaculata Award

The 2018 Immaculata Awards for Service was presented Sunday, Dec. 9, by Bishop Robert J. Cunningham during the celebration of Solemn Vespers at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Syracuse. The Immaculata Award recognizes and honors “those who generously and unselfishly give of themselves to their parishes and whose love for the Church has been shown through their devotion to the Holy Father, as well as to our Diocese. They are the unsung heroes in our midst who build up our parish communities by extraordinary service in parish ministry in volunteer service.”
