World Refugee Day: Schiller Park

The Refugee Assistance Committee invites you to participate in the vibrant atmosphere of many nations and cultures celebrating together. We will meet near the soccer fields in Schiller Park on the northside of Syracuse. International food, music, dancing and games will enhance the afternoon celebration of refugees who have become part of the Syracuse community!
Refugee Family Update
Our Refugee Assistance Committee is working with a family from Afghanistan: Maliha and her 9 children. This spring the younger children are participating in a soccer program. The committee would like assist single Mom, Maliha to spruce up her home with a fresh coat of paint indoors. If you would like to help paint the walls or provide supplies, contact Beth at beth@holycrossdewitt.org
Emmaus Ministry Meal

Each month Holy Cross volunteers serve a meal to neighbors on the south side at Emmaus Ministry of Syracuse. Emmaus seeks to provide meals, laundry, showers and a safe space for community members to gather for a meal. To sign up to serve, contact Beth.
Men’s Shelter Breakfast

Holy Cross volunteers prepare a hot pancake breakfast at the men’s homeless shelter four times a year. Save the date & contact Beth if you would like to be part of this outreach ministry.
