Yeazel Catholic Education Endowment Fund

As we prepared for Rev. Msgr. Yeazel's 50th anniversary of priesthood and upcoming retirement, a group gathered together and spoke with him about developing a way to honor his many years of selfless service in a way that continually benefited a cause that is near and dear to his heart. The Yeazel Catholic Education Endowment Fund has been created as a vehicle to continually honor and support Msgr. Yeazel's commitment to Catholic education. This not only benefits Holy Cross School, but for all three junior/senior high schools and the eleven elementary schools in the Western Region. To help create such a fund, we partnered last year with the Central New York Community Foundation. As of January 2017, we have over $763,000 in gifts and pledges with the average gift/pledge to date being $15,895. Our goal is to reach $3,000,000 over the next several years so that the fund can truly provide an impact in supporting the 14 schools in our region.

Msgr. Yeazel has indicated that he does not want gifts for his 50th anniversary and retirement, but instead would really appreciate your support of the fund. Please consider making a gift or pledge. Working with the Community Foundation, all types of gifts can be supported including stocks, mutual funds, bequests and other estate gifts. We hope that you agree that this fund is a lasting way to show our love and appreciation to Msgr. Yeazel for his half-century of selfless service.
