Give a Mass Offering
Prayer for Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there, and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
“In every age, O Lord, you have been our refuge.”
Readings & Reflection
Our psalm response today says, “In every age O Lord, you have been our refuge.” To be a refuge means to be a point of safety and help. Our point of safety and help is the Lord. As we continue to read on in Psalm 90 we see many different perspectives on the human experience. If we focus on just the beginning of the psalm, we immediately see human frailty. This is not something that we like to contemplate or talk about, but it is inevitable. We are called to focus on the brevity of human life and called to thank God for the life we have been given. Knowing that the Lord will help us and be our guide, we can turn to Him with all our needs. What are some of the needs you bring to the Lord today? Take some time to reflect on what you need and spend some time with God today.
Peace,
Fr Matt Rawson
