Give a Mass Offering
Prayer for Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there, and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
“In every age, O Lord, you have been our refuge.”
Readings & Reflection
Today in the Gospel, the disciples could not figure out what Jesus meant when He told them He had to be handed over to men. This was not the first time this happened. After the feeding of the five thousand, Mark did not understand the incident of the loaves. Often the disciples found themselves confused and unsure about what Jesus was saying. How often to do we find ourselves in this situation? Do we find ourselves not being able to understand what Jesus is asking of us? Do we fully understand what Jesus is saying and asking of us? How do we come to reconcile ourselves with this? At this point we must look at our relationship with God and bring Him our thoughts and feelings. When we find ourselves not understanding, we must put our trust in the Lord and bring before Him all of our concerns. Take some time today and bring your cares and worries to Him.
