Farewell, Fr. Matt!
It’s Not Goodbye, But See You Later
January 30th-31st will be Fr. Matt's last weekend with us as here at Holy Cross. Fr. Matt recently announced exciting news about his new appointment in the Diocese of Syracuse. He has been serving as Parochial Vicar here at Holy Cross for the last two and half years following his ordination. Bishop Lucia recently appointed him as Administrator of Christ Our Hope Parish in Boonville, NY effective February 1st.
We have been incredibly blessed by Fr. Rawson's time with us. His spirit, goodness, and presence will surely be missed. Whether celebrating Mass, hearing confessions, administering sacraments, offering virtual community prayer, connecting with our youth, the many hours of work behind the scenes, sharing wisdom with our school students, or being a friendly face and listening ear, his selfless service has touched so many lives in our community. We cannot thank him enough! Join us in lifting Fr. Matt up in prayer as he sets out on this new adventure.

Dear Parishioners,
I am happy to announce that Bishop Lucia has appointed me as administrator of Christ our Hope Parish in Boonville NY. As of February 1st, I will be reassigned to the linked parishes of St Josephs in Boonville, St Patrick’s in Forestport, and St Mary of the Snows in Otter Lake.
My last weekend will be January 31 and my new assignment will begin on February 1st. I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you here at Holy Cross who have guided me over the last two years of my priesthood. Please know of my prayers for you and I ask that you keep me in prayer as I begin this new chapter in my priestly ministry.
