Altar Servers Cheer on the Chiefs
On Monday evening, June 27th, Holy Cross Altar Servers and their families enjoyed a night out at the ballpark to cheer on the Syracuse Chiefs. Deacon Dare Dutter organized the event to thank our Altar Servers for their faithful and reverent service throughout the year. We are incredibly blessed by these young people and their service to the Lord and our community. A few of our servers participated in a contest on the field, and one of our own had the privilege to start the game with a loud, "Play ball!" After enjoying some hotdogs, hamburgers, and sides on the first baseline deck, we watched on as the Chiefs battled it out against the RailRiders. The Chiefs fell short, but the Altar Servers rallied their spirits and enjoyed the bounce house, giant Jenga, giant Connect Four, and fast pitch in the family picnic area.
